Dr. Soliven is the Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs in the Department of Neurology. She is the Director of the EMG Laboratory and Neuromuscular Program and sees mostly patients with myasthenia, myopathy (myositis, dystrophies), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, autoimmune and inherited neuropathies. She is involved in neuromuscular clinical trials and studies. Her laboratory research currently focuses on glial biology and immune mechanisms pertinent to autoimmune neuropathies and myasthenia gravis (MG). She chairs the Medical Advisory Board of Conquer MG, and has served as a reviewer for multiple journals, NIH NINDS study sections, and grant review committees of other funding agencies.
