Residency Program Graduates
The Neurology residency training program at The University of Chicago provides full training in clinical neurology. The objective is to educate residents by exposing them to an excellent clinical and research environment, which will allow them to make well-informed decisions about their ultimate career choice and allow for excellent patient care. Resident physicians completing this three-year program will be eligible for board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
"Doing my residency at UChicago was one of my best personal and professional experiences in my life. The program has a very tight-knit and stable core of attending physicians who care about the residents. The size of the program is big enough for having exposure to all major neurological subspecialties serving diverse patient populations, but small enough for residents and faculty to know and support each other. This program has an ideal balance between supervision and autonomy, which prepares you to function independently as an attending. Additionally, there are ample opportunities to publish papers even beyond case series. There are also plenty of things to do when off duty and seeing the Chicago skyline at the end of the day never ever gets old." --David Kamson MD (Class of 2018)
