Blood Pressure in Stroke

The variable management of hypertension in stroke patients is influenced by timing, the type of stroke, recanalization attempts, and medical comorbidity. An approach to management that ignores the peculiarities presented by each case is dogmatic. Similarly a classic approach emphasizing isolated systolic/diastolic or mean arterial pressure goals is less than ideal.  We investigate multiple aspects of the continuous blood pressure signal, in the acute phase, as it related to outcome.
