Following residency training in neurology, again at the University of Chicago, he completed fellowship training in neuro-oncology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Nicholas has since served on the faculty of both institutions where he received training. He is currently Director of the Neuro-Oncology Service in the Brain Tumor Center and a member of both the Neurology and Medicine (Hematology-Oncology) Departments at the University. He oversees a weekly multi-disciplinary neuro-oncology seminar. Dr. Nicholas develops and supervises brain tumor clinical trials and interacts with several research laboratories in an effort to advance the field of neuro-oncology.
