Clinical & Research Interests
  • Dr. Javed’s work is in the area of neuroimmunology. He has clinical and research interests in a variety of autoimmune diseases that affect the nervous system, including multiple sclerosis, lupus, Sjögren’s disease, mixed connective tissue diseases, and neuromyelitis optica (also known as Devic’s disease). He is a sub-investigator in clinical trials of new MS drugs. He also has expertise in nervous system complications of infectious and post-infectious diseases. Dr. Javed has a broad based clinical experience in the field of general neurology and medicine. He sees a broad spectrum of diseases other than autoimmune diseases in his clinic. He has special interest in neuroendocrine disorders. He has a special research interest in analyzing brain pathology using new and unconventional MRI techniques.
