Training Program in Pathobiology and Translational Neuroscience
for Predoctoral and Postdoctoral (MD and PhD) Research Fellows
Workshops
- The goal of the mentored IRB member experience is to enhance understanding and awareness of these important and necessary
steps to fully realized translational science initiatives. Through this process, trainees will also gain an understanding
of the role individuals like themselves play in any peer-review process.
The CTSA Biological Translational Research Workshop (BTRW) is a highly interactive and informative, forum created for new
investigators to present their research in a broad translational context. Participants include researchers from across the
translational research spectrum, from molecular biologists and clinical trials specialists to epidemiologists and ethicists.
It provides an outstanding opportunity to develop new research collaborations. The format is chalk-talk and the presentation
itself, lasts 25-30 minutes with a moderator who serves to engage the audience and facilitate broad participation. Biological
Translational Research Workshops are usually held in L272 on Mondays at 3:00-4:30 pm (except for the first Monday of each month,
when the CMM seminar is held instead, and the BTRW meets jointly with the Outcomes Research Workshop in their timeslot, Wed 8-9:30am).
Topics cover a broad spectrum of disorders, including several each year devoted to Neurology/Neuroscience.
- The Grant Preparation Workshop...(information is forthcoming)
