PreClinical Neurology Experience


Course Overview

This two-week course (75 credits) is designed to give pre-clinical students the opportunity to observe neurologists in action. Students will have the opportunity to work with faculty in evaluating patients in the neurology clinic and on the in-patient services. They should encounter patients with a broad range of neurological problems and become aware of how neurologists arrive at a diagnosis and plan treatment.


Educational Goals & Objectives

To introduce students to patients with neurological symptoms and to become comfortable with procedures of obtaining a history and performing a neurological examination.
